The FOCUS team at Aston Research Centre for Healthy Ageing (ARCHA) would like to welcome Siobhan Blackwell. Siobhan will be carrying out assessments and goal setting interventions with older adults.
Siobhan has a background in Psychology completing her Bachelor’s Degree in 2013 and her Masters in Psychological Science in 2014, both of which with University College Dublin.
Since then she has worked primarily in research with ageing populations, namely palliative care with cancer patients, the effects of dietary supplements on cognition, and the role of biopsychosocial factors on healthy cognitive ageing.
In addition, Siobhan has also worked in the area of childhood development, investigating the effects of pre-literacy courses on literacy attainment in later childhood for disadvantaged children.
